The Clean Energy Action Plan
NYSERDA is New York’s clean energy and energy innovation agency. NYSERDA promotes energy efficiency and the use of clean, renewable energy sources. These efforts are key to reducing greenhouse emissions and combating climate change to create safe and healthy places to live and work.
Con Edison operates one of the world’s largest energy delivery systems, reliably serves more than 10 million New Yorkers, and is committed to a clean-energy future. Its parent company, Con Edison Inc., is North America’s second-largest solar provider, and the seventh largest in the world. The company works with state and local governments to reduce reliance on fossil fuels by helping customers choose energy efficiency programs, rooftop solar, electric vehicles, and clean-heating alternatives.
NYSERDA works with energy companies like Con Edison, as well as developers, community leaders, local governments, and contractors, to ensure that New York’s communities, residents, and businesses can benefit from energy efficiency and clean energy technologies.
Through the Clean Energy Action Plan, NYSERDA and Con Edison aim to lower energy costs for consumers in areas affected by natural gas constraints. The plan offers increased incentives to help make homes and businesses more energy efficient, as well as greater access to reliable, clean alternatives to fossil fuels like energy efficient heat pumps.
